"[English] Review: Dungeon Siege III"

Even though it started off as a Gas Powered Games franchise, the Dungeon Siege series had its third installment produced by Obsidian Entertainment - the same company behind Neverwinter Nights 2, Alpha Protocol and Fallout: New Vegas. But there are no visceral changes here. Dungeon Siege III keeps the same formula based upon medieval fantasy and with generous amounts of action, in a way very similar to Diablo.

With swords and spells, you'll slice spiders and dragons to pieces, saving some time to gather the war spoils dropped by the monsters. Naturally, weapons, armors and potions can be acquired in dungeoneering expeditions, and a lot of scenery exploration.

Dungeon Siege III is entirely focused on cooperative brawl. It brings traditional class divisions. Among them, the Guardian and the Archon (magistrate from Old Greece).

> Heavily armed with a shield, a sword and armor, the Guardian is the main warrior here. He even counts with two distinct fighting stances: one for quick attacks within short ranges and the other being more indicated for maintaining a crowd of enemies at bay - with slower bashes and within a larger radius.

> The Archon is a typical combat spells wielder. While the Guardians constitute the battlefront in a co-op match, the Archon will be that guy placed in the back of the group, using from an advantage point to throw fireballs and area-ranged projectiles.

Dungeon Siege III can be played both with a human ally and the game's AI.

The game is available to seventh-gen consoles - PS3 and X360 - and also for PC.
